Happy New Years. I wish you all the best in your resolutions and endeavors this year.
I’m stealing an idea from my friend Sarah M Cradit. She did a New Years Resolution post. So I’m going to do something sort of similar.
I can’t compare last year’s goals with what I accomplished because I didn’t really form any. I generally do best with short term goals because I like to push my boundaries and finish them faster than I plan.
For instance, I released every title after In Too Deep early because I lack something called patience. It’s true, I do try to give you the best story I can, but once it’s ready, sitting on it until release is just about impossible for me. I’m too excited to get it out there into the world.
I still can’t believe how well Others of Edenton did this year. I knew I would put In Too Deep out, and I knew Shadows of the Past and Falling Into Place, though honestly, I thought it would take me longer to pull all that off. By the time I had In Too Deep ready for you all I figured out Jess’ story and decided to do New Beginnings before going back to what I had already written. Then I had to go write the short for Shadows Fall because I couldn’t get it out of my head, and then Shadows of the Past. Then I was back to Robert and Liz’s story which I’ve been working on for years, but it always fell apart early on. At least until I added Tremaine. So, I never imagined I would release all those plus the box set with the first four titles, but I did.
So, let’s see how much I can blow this New Years Resolution out of the water. I’m going to go with realistic for me. I’m going to shoot for a release in February, May, August, and November. Those will be full length. I might toss in a couple novella’s or novelette’s and I’m not including the one that will be showing up in the All Our Love anthology that Novel Grounds is putting out in March.
1) Release Nights Embrace (Book 1: Others of Seattle)2) Release Jamie’s book, the 4th in Others of Edenton
3) Release Storm Mistress (Book 2: Others of Seattle)
4) Release Preston’s book, 5th book in the Others of edenton series.
5) I’m going to try to be more active on my blog as well. I’ve been slacking. I would like to update it once a week at least.
I don’t know, those seem like enough for now. I need to get back to writing though.
As always, thank you for reading.
